Biography:

Angelo Picardi is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, currently working as researcher at the Centre for Behavioural Sciences and Mental Health, Italian National Institute of Health, Rome, Italy. He is qualified as Full Professor of Psychiatry by the Italian Ministry of Education, University, and Research. His main research topics are clinical psychopathology, psychiatric epidemiology, psychosomatic medicine, attachment, and alexithymia. He has been Principal Investigator for several studies funded by the Italian Ministry of Health. He is author of 140 full papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, and his current Scopus H index is 38. He has authored 35 book chapters and is author or editor of five books, among which is ‰ÛÏDimensional Psychopathology (Springer, Berlin, 2018). He is an editorial board member of several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Affective Disorders, Clinical Practice and Epidemiology in Mental Health, and Rivista di Psichiatria.
