Biography:

Professor Carter is currently the Senior Staff Specialist and Acting Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital, Waratah; and Conjoint Professor in Psychiatry in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, University of Newcastle. He leads the Psycho-Oncology Service at the Calvary Mater Newcastle and he is a Principal Researcher in the Centre for Brain and Mental Health Research Priority Research Centre at the University of Newcastle.
