Biography:
Inger Sundström-Poromaa is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Uppsala University, Sweden. She received her medical degree from the University of UmeÌ´, Sweden, and followed this up with a post-doc at Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York. She has also done a fellowship at the Center for Neuroendocrinology, University of Otago, New Zealand. Professor Inger Sundström-Poromaa is a Fellow of the Swedish Society of Medicine and the Swedish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (SFOG). She is currently Scientific Advisor at the Medical Products Agency in Sweden, and Scientific Secretary for the SFOG, and a member of the Board of Directors of SFOG. She has held a number of commissions of trust over the past years, including Study Director for Clinical Research within the Board for Research-level Education at Uppsala University, and has served on the Board of the Center for Reproductive Research at the Swedish Agricultural University.
