Biography:

Dr Panagiotis Ferentinos received his Medical Degree from the University of Athens and holds since 2015 an Assistant Professor tenure post at the 2nd Department of Psychiatry, University of Athens, Attikon General Hospital, where he heads the Affective Disorders & Suicide inpatient unit and outpatient clinic. He completed his sabbatical training at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London (Social Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Center and Department of Psychological Medicine, 2012-2014), where he has been to date an affiliated research associate. His research focuses on affective disorders and suicidality. He has worked for European multicenter pharmacogenetic studies of treatment-resistant depression run by the Group for the Study of Resistant Depression and is a member of the Psychiatric Genetics-bipolar disorder and ConLigen Consortia. Dr Ferentinos has a record of 55 international peer-review full publications (hindex=17).
