Biography:
Valsamma Eapen, MBBS., DPM., PhD., FRCPsych., FRANZCP As an academic Child Psychiatrist for over 20 years, Eapen has extensive clinical and research experience in childhood psychiatric disorders with a particular focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. She is the Chair of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UNSW and Head of the Academic Unit of Child Psychiatry, SWSLHD. She is the Stream leader for Early Life Determinants of Health (ELDOH) Clinical Academic Stream within the NHMRC accredited Advanced Health Research and Translational Centre (AHRTC), the Sydney Partnership for Health Education Research and Enterprise (SPHERE) and is a Program Director for Autism Cooperative Research Centre (CRC). She is also the Director of the South West Sydney BestSTART (System Transformation and and Research Translation) Child Health Research Unit.
